Equipment & components

Equipment enquiries need a functional specification, installation context and a clear understanding of what is included in the supply.

What you can ask about

Professional equipment, control components, electrical assemblies and supporting accessories can be described in a sourcing request.

Examples describe the scope of a potential enquiry. They are not current offers, confirmed inventory or a commitment to supply. The exact product and transaction terms are assessed individually.

Build a useful specification

Include the following details where available. If a point is undecided, say so rather than using an assumption that a supplier may interpret as a firm requirement.

  • Function, capacity and duty cycle
  • Power supply, interfaces and environment
  • Dimensions and installation constraints
  • Included accessories and documentation
  • Commissioning, training and support expectations

The details that change the decision

Separate the equipment price from installation, commissioning, consumables and after-sales support. If the quotation excludes these services, the buyer needs a plan for obtaining them. A product description or a supplier statement alone should not be treated as confirmation that all requirements for the intended market are satisfied.

From category to a commercial offer

Send quantities, destination and preferred timing together with the technical brief. A quotation should state its validity, delivery basis, payment terms and exclusions. Where alternatives are proposed, the differences should be made explicit before you decide.

There are no individual product offers published in this category. Use the request form to describe the item you need; submitting a request does not create an order.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few practical answers.

Does equipment supply include installation?

Only if it is explicitly included in the agreed scope. Identify the installation location and required support in the enquiry.

Can I attach a product specification?

Yes. Attach one PDF of up to 5 MB. Keep confidential designs or third-party personal data out of an initial brief unless sharing is necessary and authorised.

Will I receive a price immediately?

No. The request is reviewed before any offer is made. Availability, suitability and terms need to be confirmed with the relevant parties.
